三忍

The tree forms of (sa) kṣānti, i.e. patience (or endurance, tolerance). One of the groups is patience under hatred, under physical hardship, and in pursuit of the faith. Another is patience of the blessed in the Pure Land in understanding the truth they hear, patience in obeying the truth, patience in attaining absolute reality; v. [lang id =1028]無量壽經. Another is patience in the joy of remembering Amitābha, patience in meditation on his truth, and patience in constant faith in him. Another is the patience of submission, of faith, and of obedience.

﹝出華嚴經疏﹞ 忍， 耐也。 又忍， 可也。 謂於一切逆順善惡之境而能忍受安心不動， 故名為忍。 〔一、 耐怨害忍〕， 謂人以怨憎毒害而加於我， 即能安心忍耐而無返報之心， 是名耐怨害忍。 〔二、 安受苦忍〕， 謂疾病水火刀杖等眾苦所逼， 即能安心忍受恬然不動， 是名安受苦忍。 〔三、 諦察法忍〕， 謂審察諸法體性虛幻， 本無生滅， 信解真實心無妄動， 安然忍可， 是名諦察法忍。

１．無量壽經說往生極樂的人， 聽到七寶樹林的聲音， 便得三種之忍， 即一、 音響忍， 就樹林的聲音而悟非有而有的真理； 二、 柔順忍， 心柔智順， 對實相的道理很信順； 三、 無生法忍， 安住於無生的法理， 而不動心。 ２．指唯識論所說的三忍， 即耐怨害忍、 安受苦忍、 諦察法忍。
